When should you mulch?

Generally, mulching can be done anytime in the year but Spring and Fall are the most popular times of year. Spring allows for a fresh start to the heat and moisture that comes at the end of Spring into the Summer months. Fall mulching is good for protecting your flower, plant, and tree soil from the harsh weather conditions such as frost in the Fall and Winter months.

The usual amount of mulch placed is around 3 inches deep to provide the best coverage. Make sure all weeds and debris is cleared before the mulching is applied.
